My Living Room
"It
took a couple of couches before I got it right," the Jennifer Falls
actress says of finding the perfect sofa-and-chaise combo for her
L.A.-area abode, which she shares with her son Dezi, 7, and her
boyfriend of three years Hamzi Hijazi. "It's a large room, so you want
it to be cozy." Pressly, 37—who says, "I used to flip houses, and I love
decorating"—found this plush sectional on clearance and had it
recovered to "bring in the warm tones of the rest of the house." She
took a hands-on approach in room decorating the five-bedroom home, filling
the space with photos, personal mementos (including a 2007 Emmy for My
Name Is Earl) and a collection of paintings and Buddha statues she
acquired during numerous trips to Asia. "I love having a tranquil place
to come home to," she says.

My Backyard
With
an Olympic champion skater for a mom, Kristi Yamaguchi's two
daughters—Keara, 11, and Emma, 8—love being active. After they get home
from school, "we'll go outside and kick around the ball or practice
hitting softballs," says Yamaguchi, 43, who now heads up the Always
Dream Foundation. "Or they'll play 'imagination' and make up their own
stories." When she and her husband, former NHL player Bret Hedican, 44,
bought their Mediterranean-style Alamo, Calif., home 10 years ago, it
was surrounded by a "field of weeds." Now they've transformed it into a
kid-friendly oasis—including a pool, a fireplace and a jungle gym—where
they regularly host family barbecues, potlucks and playdates. "We like
it when the girls' friends come over," says Yamaguchi. "That's why we
did the big backyard."
"THEY'RE VERY CREATIVE. THE PLAY STRUCTURE GETS USED A LOT AS A LOOKOUT OR A TOWER"

My Closet
When
the Pretty Little Liars star—and current Dancing with the Stars
standout—first toured this four-bedroom Craftsman-style home in L.A.,
there was just one little problem. "One bedroom was way too small to be a
bedroom," she says. So when the actress snapped up the house five
months ago, she turned that subpar space into a swoonworthy walk-in
closet. "My mom helped me paint it, and then I just went to town," says
the 25-year-old, who outfitted the dressing area with standing garment
racks she found on Etsy and white Ikea bookshelves to hold her shoe
collection. "I was channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw." Parrish—who
lives with her boyfriend, actor Payson Lewis—is thrilled with the
finished product. "I think I spend more time in that room than anywhere
else in this house!"

In
ABC's breakout smash Black-ish, Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross
play parents of four who move into an upper-middle-class neighborhood.
(Grandpa—played by Laurence Fishburne—regularly drops by too.)
Production designer Maxine Shepard gave us a tour of the show's cozy
(and affordable!) living room set. "We wanted a completely practical
vibe," she says. So Shepard and her team went to accessible chain stores
to find furniture and accents for the room's blue-gray-and-cream color
scheme. "Although this is a fictional family, we were trying to make
them feel very familiar," she says. "It's a look anybody at home could
do."
